Thursday evening I was called in by the board of directors at the small place in which I work...
well worked.
I was laid off... I like to say "fired"but that isnt accurate, it is just more potent in getting a reaction. Like much of the country/world the economy is slow. It has finally hit home for me. Literally, it has rocked our home.
My line of work often requires moves with the change of employment... Tonight we told our children that I will be getting a new job and that it might mean moving. They didnt take well to news, but kids are resilient. It breaks my heart to see them so sad.
There is always interesting things happening where I work... and if you are a regular reader you know that I said awhile back I probably need a new job. I just didnt think it was going to happen like that.
I am employed through the end of the month with a small severance package (when they let you go because they cant pay you, you cant expect a lot). We are grateful for what we getting for sure.
It is ok... Really we will be alright, so dont fret too much for us.
We trust God, He is bigger than the economy.
